What is Kanban Method?
Kanban Method is a way to organize the chaos in the workplace in order to increase productivity and maximize efficiency. The aim is achieve higher output in reduced time.
1. Visualize the Workflow
Once you visualize the process, then you can visualize the current work that you and your team are doing.
2. Limit Work-in-Progress
Complete the work in hand first before taking up new work. This creates enhanced capacity in the system.
3. Manage Flow
Focus on the bottlenecks in the workflow. Analyze the issues and resolve them.
4. Make Process Polices Explicit
Clarity in the process guidelines is important so that you know how the work has to be executed.
5. Implement Feedback Policy
Early feedback is indispensable to ensure that the right work is implemented and delivered.
6. Improve Collaboratively, Evolve Experimentally
Constant evaluation is critical to improve in areas where shortcomings exist.
